As the province continues to feel the impacts from climate change such as dramatic changes in temperatures, shifting rain patterns, extreme weather events, and increased floods and wildfires, it is evident that we must take a whole-of-society approach to proactively work together to prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters.
Through the Manitoba Emergency Management Organization, the province continues to prioritize, engagement, public awareness, training, providing pertinent information and data, developing innovative tools and technology, providing disaster financial assistance, as well as maintaining critical partnerships while investing in new collaborative opportunities to work together to create a more resilient province.
By taking a whole-of-society approach, in collaboration with our partners, we can make a safe Manitoba that is resilient to hazards, emergencies and disasters.
