Public Library Services

Public Library Services (PLS) is a policy and program unit within the Strategic Policy Branch of Manitoba Sport, Culture and Heritage, and is responsible for the Public Libraries Act and associated Regulations. PLS provides libraries with funding and professional support on governance, policy development, and planning.

Professional library consultants work directly with senior library staff, public library boards and local officials to develop and extend equitable access to information and knowledge through library services and collections that reflect the broad needs and interests of all Manitobans.
