Communication
Manitoba EMO works to maintain consistent communication with a wide range of emergency management partners. Partners are responsible for establishing their own clear protocols and systems to facilitate efficient communication. Partners should also establish mechanisms for sharing information, resources, and coordinating response efforts among other partners and Manitoba EMO.
Collaboration
Partners play an important role in the development and implementation of comprehensive emergency plans. Through collaboration with other partners as well as with Manitoba EMO, roles, responsibilities, and coordination mechanisms can be established. These emergency plans serve a critical function in ensuring that Manitoba is well prepared for any emergency or disaster that may occur.
Resources
Partners maintain significant resources that can assist during the response to an emergency or disaster. To prepare for these situations, partners are responsible for knowing the capacity of their resources. This includes personnel, equipment, supplies, and ensuring they are well-maintained and available when needed.
Training and exercises
Partners should engage in regular training sessions and emergency exercises. This is to become familiar with emergency procedures, communication protocols, and the specific role they play during different types of emergencies.
